Playing the Orchestra.

Steven Paul Jobs (2015)

A biopic on the early days of Apple Incorporated.

Steve Jobs was a fascinating, unique and genius man during his time.

He was a marketing strategist and always knew how to present his products in the best, most memorable way possible.

He truly was remarkable; after his passing, many movies were created, with one of the more popular ones being simply titled: "Steve Jobs" directed by Danny Boyle.

The plot of the film is divided into 3 sections, with each being a different year, consisting of 1984, 1988 and 1998.

Each year was crucial for Jobs with him revealing the Macintosh, NEXT Cube and iMac respectively; within those segments, a lot of conflict between Steve's associates like Steve Wozniak, His family, John Scully etc, occurs which transforms this film from a history lesson, to an excellently crafted masterpiece, with the main reason being the writing.

In this film, the script is immaculate! Genuinely, the dialogue in this film is incredible, I have never seen anything like it!  I love how the majority of the film shows Steve's true colours with his scenes always being behind the curtains; the way he bounces off everyone he speaks with truly is so absorbing!

Steve Jobs' Review: Michael Fassbender Stars in Danny Boyle's Biopic

Steve's personality is akin to Patrick Bateman from the film, "American Psycho", where his dialogue is so sophisticated, yet what he says is hysterically demented! The way Steve Jobs acts and thinks is something that can only be replicated so well, and this film got it down to the tea! Other characters also have phenomenal dialogue, with Steve Jobs and Wozniak's argument in 1988 being one of my favourite scenes in all of cinema, along with Steve's and Scully's. You REALLY have to view it for yourself to understand what I mean!

What makes this movie other than the writing is the actors, although not the closest to what the original Apple Team looked like (especially Steve, heck I was confused who he was in the first 5 minutes), they are extremely talented actors, and they bring this movie to life! They talk like real people (which is way harder than it sounds); it makes me more immersed in the movie and brings more emotions to the audience and oh, don't even get me started on the visuals!

The 1980's and 1990's had an aesthetic that I loved since I was a kid. So a movie with retro tech, old styled lighting, and this weird, VHS, slightly fuzzy noise effect was immediately my jam! This film is a beauty to watch for visuals alone; I adore the flashback scenes and cinematography used!

Steve Jobs – [FILMGRAB]

In conclusion, Steve Jobs, directed by Danny Boyle, is an immaculate masterpiece! Not a cinematic masterpiece... but a absolutely masterpiece!

Steve Jobs (they really should've came up with a better name) is an amazing, bewildering, drama film you should watch, even if you don't like Drama films or hate Apple and Steve with your whole gut, I'm sure you'll enjoy something about it!

What was your favourite scene from the film?

What other Biopics are on par or superior than this film to you?

And... what do you do?
